Recipe of the Month: Tres Blanco Pizza
Dough Ingredients
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 package of Pizza active dry yeast
2 1/2cups bread flour
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
3/4 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoon sugar
Pizza Ingredients
Traditional Bread crumbs (to help slide the pizza onto the pizza stone)
Roasted Garlic Parmesan Sauce
Fresh soft mozzarella cheese, shredded
Parmesan cheese, grated
Parmesan cheese, shredded
Feta cheese, crumbled
Dry Basil
1. In large bowl, mix the 1/2 of the flour, yeast, sugar and salt. Mix water and oil; add to the rest of the flour. Knead dough for 2-5 minutes.
2. Place in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
3. Knead dough, flatten, shape and get ready to place on pizza pan or pizza stone. If using a pizza stone spread a little cornmeal or bread crumbs so dough won’t stick. Pat into a circle.
4. Spread the sauce over the flattened dough.
5. Sprinkle with 1/2 the mozzeralla; 1/2 the feta, and 1/2 the parmesan. Then repeat. Toss a little basil on top for some extra flavor.
5. Bake on bottom rack on 425* for 10 minutes or until light brown.
